My comfort food is chicken soup.

나의 comfort food는 치킨 수프야.

 

In the USA, people eat this soup when they have a cold.

미국에서는 사람들이 감기에 걸렸을 때 이 수프를 먹어.

 

When I was a small child, I caught a very bad cold.

어린아이였을 때 나는 매우 심한 감기에 걸렸어.

 

My father made me a bowl of chicken soup so that I could get well.

아버지는 내가 나을 수 있도록 치킨 수프 한 그릇을 만들어 주셨지.

 

The hot soup warmed my body, and I slowly started to feel better.

그 뜨거운 수프가 내 몸을 따뜻하게 해 주었고, 나는 서서히 몸이 나아지기 시작했어.

 

It was also very tasty.

그 수프는 맛도 아주 좋았어.

 

Now, when I catch a cold, I eat chicken soup.

지금도 나는 감기에 걸릴 때 치킨 수프를 먹어.

I love cassava chips the most.

Once when I had a bad day at school and felt stressed out, my best friend bought me a bag of cassava chips.

언젠가 내가 학교에서 안 좋은 일이 있어서 스트레스를 받았을 때, 내 가장 친한 친구가 나에게 카사바 칩 한 봉지를 사 줬어.

 

When I started to eat the chips, my stress suddenly disappeared.

그 칩을 먹기 시작했을 때 내 스트레스가 갑자기 사라졌어.

 

The crisp sound of eating chips made me feel better.

칩을 먹을 때의 바삭하는 소리는 내 기분이 더 좋아지게 만들었어.

 

Now, every time I’m stressed out, I eat cassava chips.

지금도 나는 스트레스를 받을 때마다 카사바 칩을 먹어.

 

Then I feel good again!

Grandma’s Special Recipe: Orange Madeleines

할머니의 특별한 요리법: 오렌지 마들렌

 

You need:

필요한 재료:

 

1 cup of flour,

밀가루 1컵,

 

2 eggs,

달걀 2개,

 

2/3 cup of sugar,

설탕 2/3컵,

 

1/8 teaspoon of salt

소금 1/8 티스푼

 

1/4 cup of butter,

버터 1/4컵,

  

some orange peel,

오렌지 껍질 조금,

 

1. Melt the butter and let it cool.

1. 버터를 녹여서 식히세요.

 

2. Put the eggs, sugar and salt in a bowl and beat.

2. 달걀, 설탕, 소금을 그릇에 넣고 휘저으세요.

 

3. Add the flour to the bowl and mix.

3. 그 그릇에 밀가루를 넣고 섞으세요.

 

4. Add the butter and orange peel to the mixture and mix.

4. 반죽에 버터와 오렌지 껍질을 넣고 섞으세요.

 

5. Pour the mixture into the madeleine pan.

5. 반죽을 마들렌 팬에 부으세요.

 

6. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

6. 오븐에서 10~15분 동안 구우세요.
